Who operates Writing911.com?

Writing911.com is a service of EcoScribe Communications, based in Lexington, North Carolina. Kivi Leroux Miller is president of Writing911.com and EcoScribe Communications. Several freelance writers and editors contribute content to Writing911. The "we" behind the site is Kivi and the freelancers who work for her.

Where does the Writing911 name come from?

Our site motto is "Fast help for people who need to write well at work," so we are playing off the 911 emergency help system in the U.S. Our name has nothing to do with the events of September 11, 2001.

Can I use your publications in a class I teach?

We're glad you like our work enough to use it as a teaching aide. However, it is important that we manage and assert our copyrights in order to keep our prices affordable. Your purchase entitles you to one digital copy that you download and one paper copy that you print yourself from your digital copy, period. Sorry, no emailing or photocopying allowed. Just as you wouldn't photocopy a book you bought at a bookstore for several people, please do not copy or forward your PDF files or printouts to others. Instead, encourage them to purchase their own copies. It's only fair, and it allows us to provide great resources at great prices.
