Cheat Sheets for Two Popular Style Guides PDF Print E-mail

Which numbers do you spell out? Do you use a comma before and in a series? Do you abbreviate United States of America as U.S.A. or USA? It all depends on which style guide you follow (and you should be following one, even if it's one you made yourself).

But who wants to dig through hundreds of pages looking for the answers to these and scores of other questions we face each time we write? That's why we've created our own one-page "cheat sheets" for two of the most popular style guides around. Like any good cheat sheet, we are only covering the basics here. Check out the real guides for all the details and weird exceptions to the rules.

You can also find answers to many questions about Chicago style on their website.
